We have seen many people wearing different kinds of Gems and Crystals with different shapes and colors. Many of us wear it as a passion or likeness towards these crystals or gems and some believe in having success for being fixed to their body.

Crystal are use to keep the frequency of the clock from drifting. If the signal from this clock stops, or is weak, or the pulses begin to vary, the electronic equipments might show intermittent faults or might stop altogether. The microprocessor pins that hold the crystal are usually called OSC IN and OSC OUT as shown in Figure 1 and the frequency is marked on the crystal. Typical examples of crystal oscillator frequency are 3.58MHZ, 4MHZ, 8MHZ, 24MHZ etc.Testing Crystal Crystals are quite fragile components because of their construction.

Unlike a resistor or capacitor, if you drop one on the ground from a decent height, its 50-50 bet whether it will work again. Testing the crystal is not a breeze either. You cannot just take out your trusty multimeter and plug the crystal in it. In fact, there are three right ways to test a crystal: -

(a) Using Oscilloscope A crystal produces a sine wave when excited. It is appropriate then, to see a waveform representative of a sine wave on the clock pins. Crystals embody pure light energy because they absorb and reflect light rays. As white light passes through a gem, certain wavelengths may be filtered out, therefore, those that survive the passage give the stone its color. The gem embodies the power of the colored ray it reflects. When light passes through a gem or crystal without interference, it is said to be transparent. If a particular wavelength of color is absorbed, the remaining rays will pass through the stone and give it a certain color. If only some colors pass through the gem, it is said to be translucent or opaque. So translucent means allowing a passage of light although not a clear one.

Lastly, for crystals and light, we have opaque stones, which are impervious to light. These stones will absorb all the colors of the spectrum, except for one color wavelength. This color will be reflected back, giving the stone its color.  Therefore, if all wavelengths are absorbed except green, the stone will appear green. Crystals are here to teach and serve us, but their crystal energy lies dormant until we awaken their elemental consciousness with unconditional love. The mineral, plant and most of the animal kingdom are bound by group consciousness. The elementals need to be directed, therefore, a crystal or gemstone needs to be programmed to serve by holding a crystal in the left hand sending it love and energy. This wakes up the elemental in the crystal. Hold it over the heart center, saying, I love you. Give it caring love (not emotional love), and a relationship with the crystal.

It is only in some higher animals and man that we assert individual consciousness. This individual consciousness is brought about by our ego which binds us to this three dimensional world. The ego brings with it a separation from our intuition and higher self, which is spiritual in origin. We are very seldom aware of our true inner self, which links us to all other life forms. Most of our problems are caused by this disconnection. We disregard the intuitive self as being illogical and unimportant for our daily routines and activities.
